Level 2 Background Screening: LiveScan Fingerprinting Service by Appointment Only
The Coalition offers digital fingerprinting to child care providers with employees or household members in need of Level 2 background screening by appointment only. Live Scan will be scheduled at the ELCFH offices in each of the 4 counties. Please read the following information so that you understand the LIVESCAN process. Please do not call as soon as you make the payment, as the system will generate an email to the ELCFH so that we can connect with you to schedule an appt. Know that we will connect with you via email.
Choose the county office by designating either morning or afternoon.
An email registration confirmation will be sent within 3 business days of your payment and will also schedule your appointment time in the ELCFH office of your choice.
Make your payment via credit card, deblit card or Pay Pal. All Live Scan services must be prepaid at the time of registration.
You can print the required LIVE SCAN form that you will need to complete and bring to your LIVE SCAN appt. (hit the underlined words to make the link to the documents)
If you have to cancel your appointment, you may reschedule once by calling 941-255-1650 extension 103, and request a LIVE SCAN RESCHEDULING APPOINTMENT. No refunds will be made on Live Scan appointments, so please reschedule if you are unable to make your appointment.
What Should You Bring To Your Appointment?
A valid photo identification (such as a driver's license) Please bring your FL drivers license or ID
DCF letter from the provider that has the DCF assigned OCA number--this is the number that is tied to the provider and the only way that results will be transmitted

Be on time for your appointment; and it should take about 10 minutes!
When Will I Receive My Results?
The participant is fingerprinted and the images are transmitted electronically immediately to FDLE (Florida Dept of Law Enforcement). State and Federal criminal record results will be electronically transmitted to the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Background Screening Office. DCF will send final results to the employing facility either electronically or by mail. In some cases, the participant may be required to return for reprinting (at no charge) if the images are unclear. Results are now to be retrieved by the provider on the DCF website---you must set up an account so that you can print resutls directly from the DCF website and usually within 12 hours of the LIVESCAN being completed.
